we live in a fear based reality

each moment there is potential 

for a quick death, a sacrifice that

must be given by a figment of our  

imagination, our silent holy ghost,

we assume we are free in our actions

but in this structured reality we are

told what to be and do for our lives 

are nothing but used equipment to

be bought and sold then released for 

our youth is gone and our age consumes

us with doctor appointments, bad backs

and constant pain as we attempt to

be ourselves but end up being someone

else without a focused attention for 

in our blinded, old age we pray and stutter

in a hopeless attempt to be praised

by the holy one but only death opens

it's arms and welcomes us to our home

a fiction of our paradise, nothingness
