Brassai, "Every creative person has a second Date of Birth, and one which is more important than the first, that on which he discovers what his true vocation is."

Within humanity there must be individuality.  Women and men must choose what they will become, thus all become a unique likeness to his/her willful purpose.

The next product, the next fad becomes you and for a month, two months you are a created persona of fashion, limiting your liability to expand beyond the high glitter of facade.

Reality is constant distractions breaking our willful purpose into fragments of daily chores and conditioned responses to our hectic life of technology's cursed universality.

Every time you distract yourself away from your inner consciousness you lose the ability to act in the present moment.  You have been fooled to believe by listening to the concrete structures of wealthy needs that your actions are truly your own.

All you have done is accept with a bitter taste in your mouth the rules of conformity.  Allowing your inner perceptions to be overwhelmed and put aside by someone else's personal unique vision.

To be yourself and to see the world through your eyes you need to pursue your inner vision to the tenth degree.  Yes, you will still have to adapt your purpose to life's endless scattering of ideas and visions.  But you must never lose sight of your own inner conscious perceptions of your fluid reality.

We can't stop motion, that is life's endless need but we can for a few seconds create in our lives our vision in the externality of our inner source of creation reflected in the eye's visualization in time's constant flow.  For a brief second we have stopped the flow not by ignorance but by a need to expose visual art that represents your inner landscape in this moment quickly receding.

We are finding our true footing on a necessary slippery path to freedom of consciousness beyond the solid disinformation of our created past and present by fools of commerce and industry. Where the only goblin in life is gluttony and material wealth, all else is valueless and removable.

If we enter a new sleeve of personality or a patched up facade every time our ego wishes to be something else we are destroying our unique existence and limiting our inner consciousness the freedom to become a true self.

A self refusing to explore the depths of his own personality out of fear and daily distractions from the powerful influence of matter is a mere shadow glimpse of his true willful purpose.

Physical existence hinders insight of pure conscious neutrality, perceptions that can connect one to an outer existence of direct awareness.

Intuition is the true means to explore your inner perspective and to get a true connection with external stimulus. Without stopping to perceive the moments of spacial time as is, without constant focus, we will never experience the truth of our own created realities.

Photography used as a means to focus and connect with the external realities could become a means to understanding your own unique personality.

Ernst Haas, "Still, I don't want to declare there are no highways of fruitful directions. In learning there are. Follow them, use them and forget them. Don't park. Highways will get you there, but I tell you, don't ever try and arrive.  Arrival is the death of inspiration."

February 15, 2018

We create patterns, repetitious actions that define us. It is a way we use our intelligence to order the hectic pace of life and visual stimulation.

Are we becoming existential memory tapes of our own lives? Living life in a video/snap shot of and not living our lives as is.

This constant addiction to digitizing our moments and not living them free of external reflection is becoming a barrier from life and denying our individuality and presenting us as a cardboard cut out, a star being in love with his own likeness.

We are constantly on. Our eyes see and registers desires temptation.  Because of this we are easily swayed to move away from purpose and into recording a purpose.  A bait and switch.

The next product the next fad becomes you and for a month, two months you are a created persona of fashion, an illusion of theatrical drama. This facade is not your outer perspective it is only how others see you in this moment soon fleeting and not how you see yourself. How do we reconcile our outer experience with our inner self? A knowledge that is secret only to us. How do we present ourselves and be understood at the same time? It is impossible because of the material conditioning we have endured that has disenfranchised us from our true selves and our true perspectives.

We must start slowly disconnecting ourselves from the vulgar chaos of advertisements seen as our inner goals.  They are not.  They are only someone else's perception of a reality we are paying for.  This inner reality we never share with others represents your unique voice.  Why wait to death's knocking before opening up your life to the world, deliberately and uniquely, coming out of your chrysalis to begin your inner journey with outer revelations of unique image creations.

Susan Sontag, " It offers, in one easy, habit-forming activity, both participation and alienation in our own lives and those of others-allowing us to participate, while confirming alienation.  A society which makes it normative to aspire never to experience privation, failure, misery, pain, dread disease, and in which death itself is regarded not as natural and inevitable but as a cruel, unmerited disaster, creates a tremendous curiosity about these events-a curiosity that is partly satisfied through picture-taking. The feeling of being exempt from calamity stimulates interest in looking at painful pictures, and looking at them suggests and strengthens the feeling that one is exempt. In the real world, something is happening and no one knows what is going to happen.  In the image-world, it has happened, and it will forever happen in that way."

Barriers to seeing and living a fulfilling life are constant threats.
Each road we go down has the potential to stiffen our creativity.
Each moment can mean a different future. Each future is your original being waiting to take a chance on a new direction.

Nervous neurotic energy of empty space must be filled with myself, I will create my purpose.

We progress through many lives as we mature and grow old and then die. Patience just waits, no longer an option to discover yourself. For those who think reality can be controlled by action alone are naive.

Are your barriers to seeing and living a simple attachment of fear to an action, to have a thought and then a feeling of anxiety limits your ability to communicate with the scene before you, focus on the good things that brought you here and explore the scene even in trepidation for once you have mastered your ability to ignore anxiety then you are on your way to bridging inner and outer realities.

If you place a mental barrier over a unique perspective then you are instigating a withdrawal from your subject and lessening your choices and your visual purpose.

Your trust with your visual passion creates a relationship
with the scene before you and this connection is more important than allowing fear to control the outcome of a vibrant personal vision? We all have to fight through our nemesis and times ruthless progression.

This will allow you not to arrange the world through visual ruts that have controlled your perceptions through the years with structured ignorance of your true potential. You must begin to see through a clearer lens, toward a world that is opening and blossoming with excitement for your eager eyes.

Self, our internal subjective being comes into his own when one breaks the binding of words dictating to us our past, present and future.

The beauty in photography is to connect the dots between you and your subject. Photography can bridge your inner fears toward a better examination of your truth in originality.

We do not create images of our memories.  We create images of our self objectified in the fabric of the landscape.  We choose our subjects with purpose, not with a happy trigger finger, your inner world is exposed through the details that combine to illuminate the final chosen scene.

It is a document of compassion, with sincerity to make images of your connections with the exterior details that represent your spiritual consciousness. It is not a snap shot of being their but actually Being there interacting with the scene as a human attentive to the smallest details that made you stop and look in the first place.

Henri Bergson, "Our intelligence, finding only the old in the new, feels itself on familiar ground; it is at ease; it "understands". Such is the clarity we desire, are looking for, and for which we are always most grateful to whoever presents it to us."

We are creating ourselves beyond our internal life, creating a new likeness to what the collective dictates is acceptable behavior. A behavior dictated by an outer force.

Words are daily manipulated to change the meaning of photographs.  To instill confusion of what you see and by doing this making it easier to use propaganda to convince someone something is happening in real life instead of a created existence in minds of a confused populace.

We are becoming a video game society easily tempted with bells and whistles to entertain us but not educate us on the true nature of social media's ever expanding role and control in our lives.

We live our lives it seems in movie roles.  These become our living facade and makes it easier to express your nature through theatrics rather than real intuitive communication.

So our focus and concentration span is getting shorter and it will be harder for the new generations to express the de-evolving of our conscious efforts.  We will be speaking in short word sentences unable to grasp any communication over a 30 second span.

The external images are created for our centering.  A cohesive unity of structure.  These images are not necessarily your friend.  Your personal vision creates your external view.  If you are negative in your approach to the external world then your vision will be compromised with a defeatist attitude.  Remember nothing will be perfect, that is fools gold.  Your inner compass guides you to fulfill your unique opportunity to express through imagery your inner world.

Our internal consciousness is our inner compass.  By ignoring our inward intuition we lose touch with our personal image creating talent. We take an easy shortcut to the external facade of ego and become slaves to the now, by meaningless visual stimulus that has no barring on our future sight.  Only a limitation on what you are capable of when you explore the external facades but not your own neglected inner consciousness.

Your natural talents are put deep under the ridiculous bait and switch motives of greed in this all consuming material grab fest.

Simplify your life by looking deeper into your intuitive consciousness to find a connection not with the outside foolery but an inner stability of your truth.  Once that is found then you can create external representations of your inner purpose.

It is very easy in social media to change the meaning of a snap shot by using words that deliberately inflame.

It is almost impossible when you use social media not to reinvent yourself by creating facades that have a homogeneous quality to the mass hypnosis of self centerness. Our being is unique but also susceptible to bend to the need for attention in this web based addiction to the 'look at me glamour'.

Once that addiction to step into the limelight of attention seeking, you begin to feel the controlling influence of your projected persona and create a facade that is not you, it is your ego seeking  the limelight the blundering need for the accolades of falsity from the unknown masses of a surface reality.

This addiction to support an ego with external fabrications is the crippling of your true value, your concentration on your interior landscape. And on your intuition that can give your internal duration a true time, one that is unique to you and your vision for image creation. Not a false time of exterior possessions.

Photographs that are rushing by as you travel head long into your surface reality will not bring you to a deeper level.  This obsession with the hook in your mouth need to capture your life is an illusion.  Your life can't be captured through mindless snap shots.  Your life will never be captured.  Your stimulus to accept the herd instincts of created fades for the fashion wizards of manipulation begins your spiral into a self that will never be present.

As you build up these external displays none of this is truly your inner consciousness but an attempt by the controlling forces to pigeon hold you in a small life of quick sand (materialism) that you cannot break free of.

Life is constant motion not a static representation, a captured moment on a screen.  Our need to feel the familiar is an instinct of survival. Something we can't explain disrupts the common sight of a physical reality that doesn't change.  Of course this is an illusion because our lives change in infinite ways each second of the day.  But to control their outer dogma as truth is the controlling influence of a reality built around objects of possession.

January 11, 2018

Our daily lives are influenced heavily by technology that takes our actions for granted and plants us firmly in the ground of compulsive behavior. These repetitious actions reinforce the validity of the action and thus we assume our actions are real and worthy. However, all we are is imitating each other, creating in our own mind an invitation to be controlled.

The activities of your daily life, your kids birthday parties, hosting a dinner for your friends, all these situations will be photographed automatically as you disconnect yourself more and more from the moments of your life.

Instead of thinking about the person you are interacting with you will be thinking about how you look and act towards the camera. You can't wait to see what pics this mechanical beast took of your little party.

And once the party is over you won't live your life through conscious memories of that day but have to look at your life through the eyes of an objective device that has no feeling toward you or your purpose, a surveillance camera in your own house.

You have substituted that which can give you insight into your life and others by immersing yourself and your feelings intuitively into a scene for an object placed outside your visual consciousness to take snap shots of a life you are not truly living.

This will continue your growing awareness of the Existential reality of your own existence.  To experience existentialism on a massive scale throughout our individual lives will increase fear, hate, violence, greed etc... and in order for you to feel superior and “real” you will have to dominate the Human Species.

We are living this today. The continuing reality of people as objects, a narrowing of the mind's perception of individuality between independence and the herd mentality. The wealthy see themselves as 'Titans of the old Roman Empire of profit'.

Social Media controls the information that is fed to us in diluted form in order to pacify the masses of corralled minds, that are finally realizing that life exists for only those that can move away from the automated formula's of the wealthy and begin again to use their own mental capabilities to explore their own inner directions with confidence in their purpose.

We all carry our own albatross around our necks that deny our hopeful glances at something new and original, not for profit but the sharing of an original ideas.

Technology as it becomes more and more invasive wants more and more power.  The ultimate goal for technology is to think for mankind.  Any questions you may have can be instantaneously answered not by your own deep study but by cliche answers from the meekest of sources.

Human kind does not want to think for themselves but wants to be pulled along with the flow of times cruel endings. Why think, that can put stress on your delicate skin and confuse an already dying individual mind.

As we distract ourselves more and more by words and ideas that are at best trivial, our conversations become more repetitive. An accumulation of junk thoughts that has as much purpose as a devout atheist as Pope. We seem to allow our minds to take the least path of resistance and this leads down the road to Fascism.

New imagery with intuitive truth has a limited value, a passing fad of human folly and violent aggression. The powers that be insist on violence to regurgitate the simple minds inability to think out of the box he is in. By ignoring the paths for deliverance we intrude on other's feelings by a misrepresentation of the truth.

When you create a worthy image from your subjective intuition you have transgressed the formality of controlled thoughts and enter into a world of anarchy.

The only meaningful subjects it seems for print nowadays is hollywood glamour. The tidbits of truth that make us jealous of the perfect hair, the perfect eyes, the perfect nose and body. Exterior perfection hides a shallow beast of material dependency.

January 9, 2017

We are moving our knowledge base to something foreign, exterior to our private needs.  It sounds good but instead of finding info for ourselves we seek outside of our own consciousness the answers to our individual concerns.  We are being lumped together as products and then bombarded by ads to buy this or that but these products don't have any real purpose but to install in shallow minds a feeling of knowledge that is a mirage and we end up knowing only what they tell us.  The rhythms of your heart are distorted and encumbered with conformity.  Your inner genius is subdued and moved to a new location in a controlled environment of specific ads and no news, so you feel you're living your own life.  This exterior force that infiltrates your independent consciousness is a natural reaction to propaganda. We natural retreat to ideas of lesser values, ideas that we think are safe for our very future.  To think out of conformity begins the isolation of your individuality and a shunning of your thoughts as folly or sacrilegious.  Conform or be denied is the new catch word of the wealthy's manipulation.

Laws are being formed for disobedience that once matured will stifle all freedom of thought. The misdirection of selfhood are apparent. We think we are individuals making a difference in our lives living our truth but we are living a truth that allows only answers and not questions concerning its validity.

The biggest falsehood now is the consumer mentality being directed by illusions that not to have is a slap in the face of your ego life. You must buy in order to feel important and alive.

The brain demands order and in the face of anxious memories and false visions, it will seek a peaceful conquest of its independence.

The free falling life of independent thoughts accuse words of determining our future and words put a strangle hold on our freedom of creativity, our personal vision.

We are insulated from the world that surrounds us which begs us to see the natural beauty beyond the metal forces of illogical concepts always changing, getting us more and more into the big muddy.

These futile attempts to cover over our own animal desires to destroy dreams of independence in order for our little gods to applaud our made up stories of off world paradises just waiting for our death is disgusting and vulgar.

Solitude is a witness to your inner world, a means to experience the infinite duration in us with intuitive visions of your potential subjects to create purposeful imagery.  That ability to look at the subject with interest begins your journey in creating images that reveal your inner landscape.  You can listen to others or listen to your inner unique voice.

The words, thoughts, images found are spoken only to you, you must explore them with intuition and forceful determination to block out the voices of jealous conformity.

Social Engineering is alive and well in today's consumer driven economy. The only problem is that you can’t turn off the faucet.  Once you instill in animals a behavior to act a certain way you have a big problem trying to change that behavior.  We have been conditioned past the bible’s limited knowledge of truth to envy others and what they have. So we are conditioned to buy and buy and spend and spend and the material world goes around and around.  We are no longer self aware of what we have become and because of our shallow evolution we are easily distracted by technology and are suckers for the next latest and greatest.  We move as metadata through life becoming just statistics in a fish bowl of manipulations, never trying to stop and become something more. As the earth’s resources evaporate and extreme climate changes occur with ever increasing frequency we are slaves to our choices.

To speak out against this hatred toward the beauty of nature and its powerful force is the radical voices of human beings.

We highlight those individuals that protest the increasing power of the world corporations that use our money to mobilize reactionaries of blind indifference, yes men and women that react to outside forces (propaganda's clueless words) like Pavlov's Dog and spit incomprehensible words of vile hatred toward human beings trying to save this planet.

And because our system of capitalism is based on greed and power, we see in other countries a willingness to go along with the overbearing barons of capitalism.  You will find my friend that corporations are not only people but the new gods of this little planet. They will not give up this pervasive power easily and they will defend their wealth with ever more draconian systems to beat down the masses and suck their individual vision of a purposeful life as one would drink a soda with a straw.

Fearing life and not embarking on your own personal inner travels is the real issue confronting our allegiance to the external rather your internal insights and your preparations to connect with the exterior reality on your own insightful terms in order to create visual art.

Covering up your loneliness with partial posts that don't tell anyone about your true self only a facade of your external being open to choices of unknown results. One is always moving beyond the reality that is present in yourself.  Your truth that none see, only seeing a hatred of becoming part of the herd but scared to stand alone and voice your true inner vision. It is as if one is embarking on creating an ego self as your truth, a visual betrayal to others, a new person not in touch with their true interior self but in touch with an alter ego of pride and greed.

Think of your social media site and the overwhelming amount of information and minutia of details you can find that really has no purpose for you or how you want to live your life.

Social media can paralyze you into non action. Controlling how you perceive the world and how we interact with it on a shallow, glossy surface, using words that have been taught through generations with the only real value, control of your senses. Labels dictate your minds surface reaction. Stop the pursuit of individuality and the inner relationships one has with your true self for an anonymous external relationship with the fear of loss and a painful duration of lies. Externally we are easy targets for the propaganda machine and its on going purpose to subdue originality.

Each day have a goal of connecting with a subject that interests you.  If it is just a facade of a building or a mannequin in a window,
look for very simple graphics and that holds your eye and creates a question in your mind about reality and your own personal vision.

Begin to explore space not under the gun of passing time.  Speed is not appropriate when reaching deep in yourself to find your unique inner reality. Settle into your visionary space and let go of the illusion of time.  Begin to see time and space as one.  Your duration in time and space is your unique journey.

January 3, 2017

Steve Martin, "Art is created on the way to doing something else."

The existential experience becoming a physical artifact. We all experience the absurd nature of life and its impact on actions and reactions that seem dreamlike. Yet by responding, we enter existence and move through duration hoping for answers. We create our lives, our existence, in the beginning we are empty shells. We all try and cope with the feelings of existence and ultimately the feeling of purpose. Without purpose you become lost in the world of cheap facades. Purpose directs your consciousness to become.

No photographer needed. Your individual life no longer separate from the masses of content flooding social media, all seeking curious eyes to highlight their trivial thoughts. Images are lessened by the multitude of exposures that create a tidal wave of nonsense and undermines images of purpose.

Your life events will be documented for you by a remote controlled camera that has been placed in a strategic location that will be able to capture the moments without understanding the nuances of the scene or take the time to immerse itself in the celebration but will coldly and oppressively snap pics without depth or understanding.

Your house, your life will become a necessary technique to further alienate yourself from the real world and its necessary immersion.

These images will be objects of another life not your own. The camera used is another step toward automating our lives which in turn decrease our ability to empathize and dig deeper into our existence and future visions.

The ultimate goal is to have us on another plateau unable to think for ourselves and to demand answers to complex problems. We begin to accept the inevitable demise of impulse, intuition and depth of character.  We are becoming ads for our exterior lives and shunning the complexity of inner consciousness and awareness.

Without a free mind to make choices of what subject to create an image of we limit our ability to identify and explore the exterior reality around us.  We lose the connection with external forces that deepen our resolve to find answers.  We limit our ability to connect to thoughts foreign to our conditioned minds.  We lessen our chances of experiencing a real immersion into the world we are exploring.

Image creation is an art. Without involvement, a true mental focus, your choices when creating images have been abandoned.

We have created a world whereby we all assume we are the image taken and therefore free to just be ourselves.  But is that what really happens or will you once again walk closer to the edge of giving your life over to a mechanical structure that is and has been ruling our consciousness for decades.

Without individual choice we lower our status on the biological scale.  We demean the centuries of experience accumulated to discover deeper and deeper purposes for our existence.  Once our choice is limited we lose the freedom of expression and empathy toward the human race.

The structure of our minds is directly affected by our instinctive drive for security. Even today with all the technology we still fear the intruder, the others, that mean to harm our limited safety, our small plans for our future.

The inability to stand on our own two feet, alone, free of the seduction of our personal freedom to a common thought which is quietly being instilled in everyone is a disgusting measure of the control seeking of iron minded greedy minds.

To live your internal life free of barriers and to involve yourself in the unique visions you witness is the freedom we all must seek. This seeking is a positive force but also a scary feeling of separation from the masses.  Individuality is frightening but necessary to become your vision.

The biggest falsehood now is the consumer mentality being directed by illusions, that to not buy is a slap in the face of your ego. You must buy in order to feel important and alive.  The brain demands order and in the face of anxious memories and commercialized visions it will seek a radical conquest of its independence.

The free falling life of independent thoughts accuse words of determining our future and put a strangle hold on freedom of creativity, your vision.

We are insulated from the world that surrounds us and begs us to see the natural beauty beyond the metal forces of illogical concepts of power.

The words, thoughts, images found are spoken only to you, you must explore them with intuition and forceful
determination to block out the voices of jealous conformity.

November 25, 2017

We don't want to deal with real life.  So we objectify our lives through pictures to show everyone how human we are.

This physical world of material value blinds us to our spiritual, free will to choose our life through conscious awareness.  We must nurture our internal self.

But that is not the purpose of social media and it's now obvious infiltration into the lives of everyone.  We are seeing and feeling the demise of human consciousness.  The will to be open and free to choose your intent.  Our choices being limited by misdirection toward a full plate of nonsense.

We are becoming less than sacred life, we are becoming awful stewards of the gift of this planet to selfish accumulation of material stuff.  We don't look at action to help anymore but action to attain meaningless grandeur.  The surface ego has broken through the walls of exclusion and now rests on his thrown of make believe.

What can you state that isn't false, that doesn't have as its base the motivation of money? Everything we do now exploits the earth and other human beings. We insist on the glamour of deceit to become the one we wish we weren't.  We have succumbed to the awful desire to behave as crows feeding on the dead dreams of original thought.

We must let go of our conscious state of words that define us.  We are not words but actions that add up to a life of real beauty.  Inside beauty is a powerful feeling of letting go.

We need to start again not as blank slates of reflective consciousness but present in the now of life's mysteries.  To see the world as it is and not through filtered glasses of consumerism. We must allow our being to see outward not through selfish desire but through a clear demand for equality of minds.

This mental despair we are living in now, isn't acceptable. If our minds are asking for a predictive action on your accepted station in life, only movement of thoughts and movement of actions will increase the desire to change the direction of your perceptions.

I believe we have free will. The ability to curtail the omnipresent control of society by criminal engineers.  They have hijacked our openness and caring for each other and turned our thoughts into needless greed and lust. A competition of selfish anger toward oneself and others. By not looking deeper into your self and bringing your conditioned childhood up to the surface as the reasons for your de-focused action in the present moments.

You will continually meet your destiny in hostility against making a change, toward a unifying decision toward a goal of redeeming values.

We think of ourselves as free and in control of our lives.  But through technology we have become less human and are being moved toward the accumulation of things as a symbol of our status and our visual symbol. We are turning our heads away from individuality and toward conformity.  We listen to the lies on TV as if this is important for our salvation.  We ignore the blood on our useless hands as if we were Pontius Pilot.

This nonsensical explanation of their cause, our own violent overreaction to other voices is a blight on the very nature of humanity. We are the enemy.  We see but don't dig deeper into why we are seeing what we are seeing.  We cling to conditioned responses that limit our struggle with guilt and knowing.  We close our mind to something different because our built house of cards would tumble into a desperate anger at our wasted life.

Our mental conditions are measured by false comparisons.  My mental state is known only to me and if I tried to explain it to someone I would have to compare it with something else and then that something else becomes the desired measurement of my internal consciousness and has hijacked my originality.

Is all our futures destine at birth? Are we a fixed entity that exists at a predetermined weight, height, intelligence...etc?  Are we conditioned to react to stimulus or do we create our vision and our future purpose?

Through our social media reflected vision of ourselves, created by consumer ads we compete with our growing concern of who we are and who we want to be. Let go of the preconceived ideas and feeling and just be present in the now of existence and not the hell of what ifs.

October 29, 2017

Are image trends being made and exploited because of their marketability or because that is what an image creator felt and wanted to say? Or are we being commercially exploited by social engineering that is imitated on millions of web sites world wide ad nauseam.  What is privacy now?

We live in such a fast paced information driven age and it has caused us to think quickly without reflection and then move on to the next tid-bit of information as quickly as we can.

Each word we speak, each vision we accept, each moment controlled, each second lessened, all these things condition us from birth to reject our uniqueness and individuality.

You must write with your right hand, that is the way of the world.  You must accept authority to survive in these social classes.

Our individuality has been taken from us and demanded that our surface consciousness be in tune to the piper of this created reality we all live in, to exploit the masses.

But underneath our material mind, I call the commercialized mind, our consciousness awaits its discovery.

When do you feel that you are connected to someone or some eternal subject? This is not a passing fad or a selfi, or a shopping spree.  You feel something more than the surface ruble, the exploitation of simple minds.  In order to see you must come to grips with the surface reality we live in. shell we live in controls our minds eye to look outward and not inward.  What do we see when we look out at the planet earth.  Pieces of a puzzle which we have no true relationship with. The only relationship accepted is glossy and material goods.  The reflection you see in the mirror is a presentation of your lost self. This shallow and confining representation loses sight of his original goal.

You have cemented in your mind a particular rationality for the the things you do. For your thoughts and actions are there that shape your perceptions with no break through to see life in a different lighted way.  We assume that the structures of our lives are normal and that we belong to the class of the unseen. That your talent lies in accepted behavioral action and not turning your perceptions toward a more personal adventure a true purpose that directs you deeper consciousness to become.

A journey that allows you to breath in the complex changes of time and your free will.  You become independent minded and not part of the herded cattle.  Oblivion awaits those that keep their heads down eating stale grass.

If you don't break free you won't accomplish anything. You are a receptacle for information that has no bearing on your life's goals and your image creations. Social media dulls your independence and will to be yourself and not a replica of another's mindful purpose of control for money. When you let go of the forced action of being part of, you gain intuitive sight of your feelings and purpose, your acknowledgement that you are more than a corralled animal.

In photography you are not settling for the fast paced gun and shoot mentality.  You are exploring your inner vision, getting to know yourself anew, releasing the burden on your shoulders of someone else's domination.

What we bring to a scene creates the right atmosphere for creating great images.  If you ignore the attraction to the scene, what made you stop and look deeper into the unfolding landscape in front of you, then you will not be able to understand your unique composition that will express your inner sight.

There becomes a locked in rigid mentality to image making, a wanting to imitate a proven method of getting your smiling faces and background in the frame.

Photography is personal content, it should enlighten the viewer to look deeper into the scene created and to be observed in the perspective and composition taken. The viewer should experience a new way of seeing this shallow reflection we call standard life.

A photograph is a painting, a poem, a symphony, a dance, and it is not just a pretty picture, or an exercise in technique and print quality.

The image made is a penetrating statement, a selectivity of subject made by the image creator to express what he/she was feeling that drew her to the subject in the first place. The image taken without motive or feeling is a reflection on the new behavior of instant gratification in photography.

The photograph is content that should enlighten the viewer with a subject uncovered through new eyes that see the world differently than a standard, conformed replication of what was done in the past.

A powerful emotion impels you to action looking for a strong and stirring understanding of the present subject by taking your time creating a matchless image that can impart to the viewer a unification of perspective his and yours.

Each word we speak, every thought we have acted on is a reflection of a need in society for order and complacent behavior. When we take images we are accepting what others deem as good images.  But these images are a drag on the ability of an artist to break though the clutter of cloned responses that one must struggle with in order to open his mind to new possibilities.

Earnst Haas, "The artist must express the summation of his feeling, knowing, and believing through the unity of his life and work. One cannot photograph art. One can only live it in the unity of his vision, as well as in the breadth of his humanity, vitality, and understanding.

There is no formula—only man with his conscience speaking, writing, and singing in the new hieroglyphic language of light and time."

September 4, 2017

It becomes a comfort, a necessary stopping of feelings and intuitions to accept a perception as fruitful and allow your automatic response become written in fear.

Photography is not just a camera taking images without a mind clicking the shutter. Photography is a means to your subject that reveals itself when you are intuitive enough to connect with its mysteries.

Is there such a thing as a real deal in creating images and image that states emphatically what the photographer was trying to express with settling for second hand information?

You are not accepting the gifts made possible by your awareness and intuition.

Mind's listen for the sound of the hunt.  They anticipate the death of compliance.  But like the age of old the kings and queens have the authority to devour your world in a blaze of greed.

A photograph separates us from the real world.  It exposes our inner intentions and thus is a replica, a past replica of our experience. Who we are is lessened if we believe that picture taking is reality.  It is our inner landscape made objective but it only represents a small portion of the reality you endured to get the photograph.  Once an image is made it takes that scene that you connected with and produces a similarity of vision with your own inner landscape.  But that image is not real and now you have moved on and forgotten your real purpose of shooting the scene.

We try and create a realistic representation of our vision and try to explain with your own thoughts why life is judgmental, when it comes to stealing little pieces of a so called reality and not seeing the wholeness waiting to be shown.  Creation is but an awareness of self in relations to stimulus that isn't real but always changing and moving as one tries to capture the truth of your inner existence in relation to the outer world.

Why do we take images?  One could claim that by taking pictures one is absorbing the external world and making it succumb to the human representation.  Since all of us are constantly changing why do we think we are any different than nature being taken by digital means.  Once we take a snap shot of something without thinking through the process of empathy and intuition about the subject then we have just taken an infinitival detail and claim that that snap is the truth.  But it is not the truth to others or yourself.  You have a nagging belief that there is something there more worthy than an artificial picture of food.  Something deeper and more vast in your tightening emotions and environment.  That beckons you to listen to your intuition, your compass of compassion for the innocent earth.

Once an image is taken you have removed the live version, the true subject away from itself, a detail of the whole picture, a substitute that fills the anxious gap between your ego and your immersion into your created world.  You only see from one perspective and that is through your own stereotypes-eyes.  When you remove that unique moment of your truth and relationship with your outer subject by inner acceptance you see a social media copycatting the easiest banal subjects that really didn't have to worked for.  Simplicity is not in the capture, simplicity is in the hunt for more than trivial outburst of selfish exaggeration.

We have been taking snap shots of subjects that have a resemblance to something we can't identify, strictly by its look.  The unique original was just inches away from your vision but you accepted the easy slide down to your own strict response.  Who wants to think, while enjoying the moments of angry despair.

We now have that snap shot taken from its origin into a mechanical device to exploit for your own satisfaction and not the believers in more than surface reflections.

Authentic is a word used constantly by ad men and women. There is nothing authentic about putting yourself behind a camera which is interfering with your relation with the subject and then having the nerve to claim authentic by wearing street clothes and interacting, acting with others to make it look like your cool and have the money to buy the ad's product.

Authenticity is connecting with your subject first with an interest and a working mind that is seeing the possibilities of composition and exposure that will bring to life your vision of the subject or scene. And then through experiencing the subject intimately you bring the camera up to your eye and make an image that expresses your inner intuition.  You have connected the scene to an experience of your being.  We are not children now running around snapping shots of anything that moves.  We must concentrate on our relationship with our subject in order to get to the roots of that relationship which allows us to press the shutter at the moment of revelation.

Minor White, "It is hardly surprising that I have concluded, after 5 years research, that camera is both a way of life and not enough to live by... Glass between me and the world is both a channel and a barrier."

Minor White continues, "To live through a lens, to live out my inner conflicts and brambles through a camera, to turn to the camera to help me return to the world was an experiment I set out to explore five years ago.  I knew it was headed for failure in some way, but I persevered because little else was left open.  Camera as a way of life, and this included teaching, especially teaching, is still the least impossible way for me to develop and to maintain a state that I call mine."

The growing separation between self and nature breaks the tether that anchors us in a willing connection with something other than our own self interest.  And on our own inability to reflect on who we are and what is becoming of our inner purpose.

We are in a world where greed and power exist for only one purpose, to take all there is from the few lower income Americans and shift the the tax payers hard paid taxes to the wealthy who are recklessly destroying the earth for their own personal pleasures.   While the rest of us live in fear and desperation succumbing to the numbing discovery that our lives are wasted on energy directed in the wrong direction.

We seem to think that if we accumulate things this will give us the foundation of self pride and a means to be seen in the commercial world of ads.

How often do we exploit camera phones not to document an inner relationship with something external to your mind but to expose ourselves with the latest and greatest.

Like herded cattle we follow the tidbits of coins (information) to make ourselves believe we are something better than who we have become. Originality is a process whereby through your experiences you begin to see relationships with external subjects that you missed when your ego dominated your vision.

Consciousness is naturally selfish and suspicious of outside forces. It cannot understand the forces of nature are very dangerous and we assume an ethical quality of the mind so we can deliberate on these unknown sources without feeling guilty of their destruction.

We are alienating ourselves from the very purpose we are here for.  Loss of self destroys your ability to have for forethought in exploring nature and your realizing a subject staring you in the face.  Intuition is necessary to create images that have a deeper meaning than surface gloss.  Your purpose is not to photograph something in a fast paste hurry to move on but with empathy and depth that allows you a connection with something bigger than yourself.  We are becoming a selfish, 'look at me' ego controlled by a consumerism that only asks for more, more and more.  Unwilling to release our prideful ego we destroy the very thing that could teach us humility and gods will.

Losing sight of self, we lessen our resolve to stop drinking or using drugs.  This separates us further from exploring the magical impressions of nature.  The external is our playground to find our reflections in still water.  We create our own world.

If your intention is to deny your self expression then you have already taken a path of a stranger even to you.

Susan Sontag, "We acquire memories as we acquire things. Picture taking demands no skill or expert knowledge, that the machine is all knowing and responds to the slightest pressure of the will.  It is as simple as turning the ignition key or pulling the trigger."

That is a little over the top in describing all image creators.  Yes, with snap shots the above statement is certainly accurate.

I agree that images are things we value.  The snap shots allow us to remember without thinking through our experience.

When asked what have you done with your life, will you hand over an album filled with images and show the person asking the question a series of abstractions that resemble your experience but it wasn't your live experience but a substitute.  What you ended up doing is replacing the authentic personal experience for a cheap copy of your experience.

This constant taking images of something instead of responding to the subject on a personal level will be the downfall of human relations.

Minor White, " Be still with yourself until the object of your attention affirms your presence."

To approach a subject in a loud obnoxious voice is to become a bad actor in your own play.  You are focusing not on the subject but on yourself, your voice and appearance.  The real images are made by tuning into the stillness of nature.  Every exterior presence needs to be seen as is, not as you demand it to be. Direct your attention inward and mark your first awareness of duration an feel time slip by in its shallow presence.

Without understanding times illusions our ability to see in the present is hindered. Your inability to control automatic judgment and false knowledge of exterior motives, when you no nothing of the created external world you were born into is the legacy of a consumer driven culture.

Will it be ego that gets you closer to the subject you have an interest in? Or will you build a relationship with the subject that will be confirmed by the subject allowing you access to the inner meaning of its existence.  The foundation of great photographs is trust in each other, subject and photographer.

To open your inner landscape you must allow yourself to calm down from the barrage of daily information that is a distraction rather than a knowledgeable critique.

We assume information from media is truthful but there is no truth in giving the viewer a police blotter of human suffering with a smiling face and in their next breath asking the weatherman about the coming forecast for the weekend, will it be sunny and warm or rainy.  This is insanity.

If everything is bad  then is life worth living.  The wealth of the world instills in us at an early age to bow to money and live a separate life than what we were meant to live.

What we see is what we must control that is the mantra of wealth and greed.

The external world is a facade.  You can mold it to express your inner voice or allow it to control your attitudes, perceptions,  knowledge,  and vision of your limited future.  Change is scary but necessary to connect with your image creating duration.  Without obsessing on time one frees oneself from the shackles of of mental brainwashing.

Time is an illusion and makes us rush by the important details of our subject that we didn't recognize.

Words are at play when we listen and view the ads on every device we own.  Isn't it amazing that the created reality we now live in has the ability to send us ads we never would of seen in our calmer past. Why is that?  The money men create things to instill in us an unnatural desire to shop.  This obsession is the function of control they have over us.  All things in medicine, business, food, clothing, products etc.. are just a theater of greed that we will have to buy with our sweat and blood with no possibility of calm respect and sharing.

We are never going to get around the constant noise of materialism without a struggle to free oneself from the tyranny of more and more things.

How about more visual connection to your inner path everyone must take.  Without a purpose of freedom of mind we are slaves to commercial media.

Intuition is a key ingredient in creating visual art of your inner consciousness.  When we go beyond our auto response to stimulus we can really look at the subject of interest in a new light, in a new relationship. This new relationship is empathetic to the subject and confirms a growing relationship you are building toward, a mutual respect based on trust.

Teru Kuwayama, " Connection and compassion are the basis of good work."

The key is to relax your mind away from the created hectic pace of worker ants.  Loosen your anger toward yourself and others. Your knotted wounds will only get in the way of successful image creation.  Take a step back and review your history and then let go with clinched teeth by trusting in your abilities to find your own path and subjects of profound interest.  The simplest subject could be the one image your most proud of.  But if you don't move forward away from the heartless media you will be consumed with negativity and your photographic work will suffer for it.

Our landscape we live in now is acres of promoted violence without any immediate path out of the maze of disturbing images that only get our adrenaline going higher and makes us return to stereotypes that create a cage of blindness toward others.

We all need a jolt of radical intelligence and imagination to power our growing insight into the nature of things we once distrusted. Do not settle for an inferior you.  Break free from shallow images and words.  Follow your intuitions and put your faith in an opening up of your heart and mind to a fresh and wonderful new look at stale subjects.

Minor White, "No matter what role we are in- photographer, beholder, critic- inducing silence for seeing in ourselves, we are given to see from a sacred place. From that place the sacredness of everything may be seen."
