Everyone is a poet, novelist, painter
and a photographer what we don't
understand is that wealth now takes,
dominates your abilities to make
images and then sells them in volume.
Making images used to be a job
worthy of your income, excitement at
seeing your photograph on a billboard
or in a magazine, there was a sense of
beauty and longevity in your image
creations now all you receive for your
hard work is pennies on the dollar.
In the old days photography was
immersing yourself into a reality that
sees your inner vision materializing.
Photography now is not an art form
it is a copy machine where the
photographer's are creating products
to sell, there is no depth in imagery
today just quick surfaces posing as
copycat scenes.
Photography is more than just snap
shots of a reality twisted with dangerous
climate disasters, and our income, our
money doesn't go to the photographers
on an equal bases, back when it was
a 50/50 proposition and everyone was
happy, now 99% of our images go to
the masters of greed while we receive
peanuts!!
The parade of photo images are just
people enjoying the chance to make
pics with some kind of deliverance,
who cares if they never get the big
bucks and you never will for now all
go into the pockets of greed!
Photography once was a means of
creating from your heart iconic
landscapes, portraits, sports, track,
football, baseball, basketball .......
but now you don't make enough
money to do any photography
except for your ideals for these
Getty's of greed could care less
concerning your life for they only
care about their wealth and power!
Why there wasn't a union to protect
our livelihood, our hard earned
images traveling all over the globe!
We have moved radically away from
photography as an art form and made
it into a corporate's ideal of selling
products in volume, once digital
steamed, rolled over film b/w and
color, there was no use trying to
be an independent artist expressing
you inner ideal perceptions now lost!
You shoot digital, you don't need any
intuitive relationship with a scene,
shoot quick and move on for when
you upload images on to your computer
you can correct any flaws such as
bad colors and compositions.
Deception, manipulation, technology
creating human characteristics as if
real, another lessening of our abilities
to make great portraits for soon we
will be left in the dirty dust unleashed
undermining a photographers belief
in his future!
We are drawn now to a fast paced life,
what we have learned is that taking
images now is repetition not looking
deep into a impressive scene but just
a quick snap shot should to the trick,
what do we learn making images when
we begin to see our own inner vision!
The aging process makes you feel you
are slowly being taken away, fear is your
overriding need to create words and
images for your children and grandchildren
describing your early photography and your
constant revelations of potential subjects!
Think before you make and image, reinterpret
a scene in a new and original way, contextual
clues creating new framing that will bring out
your intuitive understanding of light and your
concept beginning to unfold. Mother nature
invites the observer to impart new meaning
to a scene by your full appreciation of sunlight,
composition, sunset and your awareness of
nature's beauty and your presence enjoying
the here and now without interruptions!!
