Photography is no longer an art form, no longer a deep feeling of independence. Once upon a time in our past individuality photographers had their own special expressions created through a film based reality. The waiting for your images being processed was always nerve wracking, did I find the right lighting for the beauty before me, was the sunset or sunrise bold enough to get your composition as you move around the scene before you finally start setting up your tripod seeing the wonderful landscape developing as the sunlight overwhelms your senses with the beauty of mother earth awakening warm morning light that highlighted a calm water and the reflection of Mount Pilchuck along with evergreen trees surrounding the small lake as mother nature opens your mind and your intuitive force that gave you a special moment, your inner perception of a scene being created before you.

What we had in our photography youth was more than just a run and gun force of shooting everything for we trusted our editors. We didn't just snap pics and then just move on, but analyzed the landscape to connect our inner vision with nature and move through the beauty of the scene, we stopped and observed the scene before us and then dived into the scene as if we were on an expedition, sinking deeper into the beauty in front of us ignored by those in a hurry without depth of feeling and respect for the beautiful reality blossoming in front of all of us but you ignored the scene not ready to pause and study the landscape before your mother earth.

Getting a camera is exciting but the camera can’t create great images unless you are mentally and physically present seeking scenes that you can feel and be part of as you stand alone in dynamic beauty as the sunset light begins opening a mental realization that you are in the heart of creation, present in awe!

Everyone is a photographer and billions of images are created each second, hour, day on and on, each a conditioned response to a cliché that won’t give you the depth of enjoyment in realizing who you want to become and what attracts you to certain subjects.

Snapshots are photo copies of someone else's work and not your own vision of a scene or some person that brings a force to your inner revelations.

What is your response to a scene you saw in a magazine, what is your inner vision of how you would approach this subject and questions need to be sorted out for to not have some semblance of possibilities ready to explore within the landscape that is in front of you, that has potential as you observe the scene beginning to explode with colors and wonderful light.

There are moments in time we miss continuously because we are having a hard time focusing our attention on what is happening whether at sunset, sunrise or on the streets always be aware of your surroundings.

Just as we pass by an unusual scene that is just getting ready to blossom we must stop and have an inner vision of the potential before us.
